Camp Dixie Facility Regulations

Camp Dixie complies with Federal and State non-discrimination laws and will not discriminate based on race, color, sex, or national origin.

Those attending Camp Dixie should be individuals of Christian character or be willing to live within the guidelines of Christian principals.

If the behavior of one is detrimental to the functioning of the group at "large", the individual may be asked to leave.

Any act of intentional vandalism or destructive, injurious, or mischief behavior may result in immediate dismissal from the camp and/or assistance from the local authorities as deemed necessary by camp management.

No pets, alcohol, or drugs are permitted on the grounds at any time. Any guide dogs must be approved prior to arrival. Any pets found on the premises will be kenneled locally at the owner's expense.

Smoking is not allowed in any building.

A reasonable ratio of qualified adults to campers must be maintained at all times appropriate to the age of the retreat participants.

Beds, mattresses, or furniture shall not be removed from its original location.

Participants are to furnish their own linens with the exception being the 6 Hotel Units which can be furnished for a fee.

Park all vehicles in designated parking areas only.

Vehicles are not to be used as transportation within the facility.

All drivers must observe the posted 15 mph campus wide speed limit.

Shoes must be worn at all times.

No dishes are to be removed from the dining hall.

A qualified group monitor must be with the group at all times, and each group must provide spotters at the
pool and provide lakeside boating assistance to ensure proper use of equipment and/or facilities.
Lifeguards are provided as available. Lifeguards have the authority to close water areas in the event of
adverse weather or when incidents occur that may have contaminated the water.

Children should never be near the water without adult supervision and adults should never swim alone.

With the exception of the use of the waterslide and the ?blob? activities, swimming is not allowed in the lake, and boats are not to be taken past the tree line. Lifejackets must be worn at all times while on the lake.

Go-cart track time is based on the size of your group and is made available to your group once each 24 hour stay. Each participant must follow the rules published and/or announced at the track or risk having their privilege to ride revoked. Track schedules are subject to being cancelled due to inclement weather which is beyond our control.

All cabins, dorms, restrooms, meeting areas, and grounds shall be kept in proper order at all times by the group using them. At the close of the camp period, it shall be the responsibility of the group leader to see that the following is carried out:

Cabins, dorms, restrooms, and meeting areas are to be swept clean and bagged trash transferred to the outside receptacles.

The grounds shall be left neat, clean and free of matter foreign to the area.

All borrowed equipment and materials must be returned. Any breakage or loss should be reported to camp management immediately.

Cleanup and repair charges will be billed to the group for facilities left dirty and/or damaged. This cost and surcharge will apply to damaged or unreturned equipment as well.
