We are doing everything we can to make sure that all campers and staff in residence at Teen Camp #2 have a healthy environment in which to enjoy camp! On Sunday, when you bring your camper to Teen Camp #2, it?s important that you know the following:
1. If your child has any flu-like symptoms - fever, coughing, runny nose, sore throat, nausea and/or diarrhea ? they should not come to camp. Please seek medical attention. They should be fever free for 48-hours before returning to camp.
2. Since it is possible to infect others before symptoms develop, we will be implementing a more detailed health screening at check-in. When you check your camper in at the dorm, you will be asked if anyone in your household has had flu-like symptoms in the past 7 days. If the answer is YES, then you will be sent to the nurse for further questions.
3. If your camper has been tested already for the flu, please bring documentation of this from your doctor to show the nurse. If they have been put on an antibiotic or anti-viral medication such as Relenza or Tami-Flu, please bring it with you to show the nurse.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Teen Camp #2 Campers with Siblings who attended an earlier session
If you have a younger child who attended camp here during Kid?s Camp #1 or #2 and tested positive for Influenza A on the Rapid Flu test, you are asked to do the following in order to prevent the virus from being reintroduced at camp:
Please ask your doctor to prescribe a prophylaxis for your Teen Camp #2 camper ? Relenza or Tami-flu and get them started on it.
If your doctor will not prescribe the ant-viral, then we will not be able to allow your child in camp this summer.
