Sessions

  • Super Kids Retreat | Ages 4-7 | June 14-15

If your child is too young to attend a week of camp like their older siblings, or if you want to get insider perspective on summer camp, then Super Kids' Retreat is for you! This overnight retreat is designed to introduce both parent and child to the summer camp experience at Camp Dixie. Together with your child, you’ll sleep in the cabin, eat meals in the dining hall, and meet some of our staff and counselors. Campers will enjoy a variety of camp activities: games, swimming, music, Bible stories, and crafts. It’s a great weekend for parents to ask questions and for kids to experience something new - with the security of having mom or dad close by. We hope this will be the first of many wonderful summer memories for you and your child! One parent may attend the retreat with their child free of charge.

  • Kids Camp #1 | Grades 2-4 | June 16-21

Everything is new and exciting to campers attending Kid’s Camp #1! Since many of them have never journeyed away from home without their parents, they’ll need the security provided to them by nurturing counselors travelling together with a small group of bunkmates throughout the week. Campers will make new friends and gain confidence as they experience camp life: morning activities like music, crafts, hiking, relay races and Bible stories, fun-filled afternoons of recreation at the pool, lake, mini-golf & 4-square, and unforgettable evening gatherings and entertainment!

  • Kids Camp #2 Early Session | Grades 5-6 | June 16-21

Kids’ Camp 2E has a “small camp” feel to it with enrollment limited to 60 campers staying in the hilltop lodging. Classes and activities are counselor lead. Campers choose from a small number of elective classes to participate in. During three evenings, they will join campers in Kids’ Camp #1 for evening chapel. The other nights they will have their own chapel service. They participate in all the afternoon recreation during the afternoon.

  • Kids Camp #2 | Grades 4-6 | June 23-28

Campers in 4th- 6th grades view their week of camp as the grandest vacation ever! They love hanging out with friends in their small cabin group – laughing & talking with their counselors and CIT’s and enjoying all the recreation the Camp Dixie has to offer. This age group gets to choose one area of interest, out of about 12-15 options, to explore throughout the week. Whether improving their skills in a favorite sport, pursuing an interest in art, trying dance or sign language for the first time – they’ll have some new stories to tell by the end of the week! Campers this age have an unquenchable thirst for adventure, making the BLOB, go-carts and giant waterslide some of their favorite things to conquer!

  • Teen Camp #1 | Grades 7-9 | June 30- July 5

Campers just moving out of Kids’ Camps, will enjoy increased independence in Teen Camp #1. Time to hang out with their cabin group will be balanced with time spent on a co-ed team playing some outrageously fun games! Daily elective classes give teens the opportunity to connect with counselors in a special area of interest. Elective options will include a variety of sports and art classes taught by our counselors and designed to deepen relationships. Middle school teens are dealing with a lot of faith and life issues, making them very open to talking with understanding counselors and staff. They love worshipping with our amazing house band, laughing at the daily video spots, hanging out with friends at late night events, and experiencing the stories found in the Bible.
